Whistle Where We Work – TIPS Network Panel Discussion

Ruth Steinholtz TIPS Network panel discussion

I’m looking forward to joining a panel discussion on “Whistle Where We Work” on 30th April 2026, hosted by the TIPS Network in partnership with Protect and Control Risks.

The session will explore how we can make investigations more human-centric. Too often, internal investigations default to rigid, adversarial approaches – techniques that can cause lasting damage to the people involved and, crucially, to the broader culture of speaking up within an organisation and are not the best way to discover all the facts.

I’ll be drawing on behavioural science and values-based approaches to examine how we can humanise the speak up and investigation process. If people see that raising a concern leads to a punitive, frightening experience, the message is clear and it’s not the one we want to send. How an organisation handles an investigation shapes its entire speak up culture and the psychological safety of everyone in it.

Joining me on the panel will be Sybille Raphael, CEO of Protect, and Georgia Ranaldo of Control Risks, with Samer Jannoun moderating.

The talk takes place at Control Risks, 33 King William Street, London EC4R 9AT, from 19:00, followed by refreshments and networking.
